Tribute to Presiding Justice Vance Raye

I sat at the King Hall table with Senior Assistant Dean Hollis Kulwin, Legal Writing Director Clay Tanaka, Legal Writing Instructor Meehan Rasch, Career Services Assistant Director Alison Shinsato, Development Director Karen Charney, and student Christian Acevedo ’13.  Several UC Davis Law students volunteered to staff the event and did a great job.  Justice Arthur Scotland, the evening’s emcee, acknowledged their help during the program.

Two of our alums, Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye ’84 and Justice Kathleen Butz ‘81, gave tributes to Presiding Justice Raye.  I was able to say hello to the Chief Justice and her husband, Mark, during dinner.
