Talking with Sister Simone Campbell '77 about immigration reform

I just wrote on the  Immigration Prof Blog about a great conversation I had with  Sister Simone Campbell ’77 about immigration reform.  

Sister Simone has served as executive director of NETWORK since 2004. She has extensive experience in public policy and advocacy for systemic change. She also has been very active with her alma mater. In 2017, she served as our commencement speaker. And she was the recipient of our 2019 Distinguished Alumna Award. 

Sister Simone is optimistic on immigration reform, perhaps in incremental form.   Th e Dream Plus Act  might move quickly to the Senate.  A bill that would provide immigration benefits may gain traction.  By just about everyone's estimation, the  comprehensive U.S. Citizenship Act faces stiffer odds.
