Students, staff, faculty discuss xenophobia

On Monday, Dr. Margaret Lee, joined by Senior Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Emily Scivoletto, held the workshop Addressing Xenophobia and Supporting Asian & Asian American Communities in the Wake of COVID-19. It was a Zoom workshop in which Dr. Lee allowed for faculty, staff, and students to discuss issues surrounding the anti-Asian sentiment that has emerged surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

I found it sobering to learn more about the biased treatment of Asian Americans. At the same time, it was good to hear  peoples' impressions and experiences, discuss possible responses, and consider how to combat racism in our midst.
