Steve Zipperstein '83 hosts fascinating Zoom program

King Hall alum Steve Zipperstein `83 hosted a special Zoom program , featuring two retired army generals -- one Israeli and one Jordanian -- plus two Israeli and Swiss scientists, who discussed various cross-border nature projects uniting Israeli, Jordanian and Palestinian farmers and others in peaceful cooperation.  It was the first time this group appeared before an American audience.  Pope Francis heard about their work and invited them to the Vatican last year. It was a fascinating program, and I certainly learned a lot.

Zipperstein recently published Law and the Arab–Israeli Conflict: The Trials of Palestine (UCLA Center

for Middle East Development (CMED) series, 2020). After an illustrious career as an attorney in the government and private sectors, he now is a lecturer in the Global Studies program at UCLA.
