Scholars Explore the Naturalization Act of 1790
I spent this afternoon at the Symposium on the Naturalization Act of 1790. Professor Jack Chin organized the event that included a series of papers and a group of scholars from law schools across the country.
It was a thoughtful set of presentations, including a paper by Professors Jack Chin and Paul Finkelman (Albany), Bethany Berger (Connecticut), Ming Hsu Chen (UC San Francisco), Rose Cuison-Villazor (Rutgers), and Amanda Frost (Virginia).
The workshop was broadcast through an electronic webinar. Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies Legal Fellow Giselle García moderated the webinar and panel discussion.
It was an intellectually rich afternoon.
