Resources for AAPI community members
A message from Law Students Association President Montserrat Garcia Juarez '21:
Hello King Hall Community,
I do not have the appropriate words to express my heavy heart due to the racist attack we witnessed in Atlanta this week. However, I wanted to express solidarity for our AAPI community in light of those events while denouncing the anti-Asian rhetoric that has escalated in the previous year due to political xenophobia and centuries-old history of racism.
I gathered some resources to share with you all to be upstanders and allies for our AAPI community. The list is my no means exhaustive, but it is a good start and I hope you all will be inclined to use it.
The known victims of the shootings are: Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng, Soon Chung Park, Hyeon Jeong Park, Suncha Kim, and Yong Ae Yue (I apologize for any misspelled names, media outlets vary in how the names are properly spelled.)
