Public Interest and Government Job Fair

On Nov. 10, the Career Services office hosted the school’s third annual Public Interest and Government Job Fair. We had a record turnout, with 170 students and close to 50 employers in attendance. We were pleased to welcome leading attorneys from public interest organizations and government agencies from up and down the state. We significantly increased both the number of students and employers from the previous year and it was great to see numerous alumni participating to recruit the next generation of public interest attorneys.

The job fair is designed to encourage students and employers to discuss opportunities with public interest organizations and government agencies for summer positions, externships and post-bar positions. The event, spearheaded by Sofia Parino and Alec Nocco and supported by the entire Career Services office, was hosted online this year utilizing a new online job fair platform. Participating students had the opportunity to meet with nine different employers in virtual meeting rooms over the course of the event. Employers reported back that they were especially pleased with the turnout and enthusiasm of students.
