Professor Behre presents; deans host lunch

It was another busy noon hour at UC Davis School of Law. The Women’s Law Association kicked off its “culture week” with a presentation by Professor Kelly Behre, director of the Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic, regarding claims under Title IX, a federal civil rights law passed in 1972 that protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities.  Professor Behre is an amazing advocate, teacher, and scholar, and was generous in sharing her expertise with students.

I could not stay long because the deans hosted a lunch for students in the King Hall courtyard. It was a gorgeous spring-like day, with delicious Filipino food and good conversation with students. All the deans were there to talk about all things law school. What a great way to spend the lunch hour! Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Emily Scivoletto was the brains behind the event, which offered a nice opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to gather.
