Today, California LAW Pathways held its seventh annual Pathway to Law Summit for high school and college students interested in law school. The Pathways program is dedicated to improving the pipeline of students of all backgrounds to attend law school. I am proud that UC Davis was part of the Pathways program from its beginning and now serve on the board of directors.

The two-day Summit began with an inspiring talk by Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court Martin Jenkins. Justice Jenkins talked about his path to bring an attorney and Supreme Court Justice.

The Summit included panels on law school, the practice of law, and contemporary legal issues including immigration law, voting rights, and much more. I participated in an awards presentation to a Southern California consortium of law schools dedicated to ensuring access to legal education.

The Summit was a great opportunity for students interested in law school. I hope to see them in the halls of King Hall in the future.
