Panel on Educational Access

On Friday, I attended a panel discussion on “Inequality, Educational Access and the Future of the University” sponsored by the new UC Davis Center on Poverty Research.  

Among others, UC Davis School of Law alum Darrell Steinberg '84, President Pro Tem of the California Senate, and UC Berkeley law dean Christopher Edley gave thoughtful presentations on the educational crisis in California.  The room was packed with students and faculty, as well as Chancellor Katehi and other campus leaders.    I enjoyed seeing Darrell and Chris, both of whom I have known and respected for many years.
