Liliana Ferrer, Consul General for Mexico in Sacramento addresses the group

Last week, I attended a breakfast organized by Ambassador Liliana Ferrer of the Mexican consulate in Sacramento. A number of campus leaders, students, diplomats, and US/Mexico experts attended the breakfast.  Chancellor Gary May welcomed the group and discussed UC Davis ties with Mexico.

We also heard from the panelists for a conference on Mexico-California, A Strategic Relationship: Challenges and Opportunities, including Executive Director Maria Blanco of the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center.

The conference followed the breakfast.  It was an amazing set of presentations that shed much light on the contemporary, and evolving, relationship between Mexico and California.
