Meeting with General Counsel at The Shop

Last night, I was able to meet with a group of Sacramento corporate general counsel (including general counsel from Raley’s, CalPERS, and other corporate leaders) at one of their regular meetings.  This gathering was held at The Shop, a Vision Service Plan (VSP) innovation workshop in downtown Sacramento.  A good friend of UC Davis, VSP General Counsel and Vice President Thomas Fessler, invited me to address the group.  I was able to talk about UC Davis School of Law, outline the challenges in legal education today, and encourage private-public partnerships to help law students and benefit the region.
