Lessons Learned and Ways Forward for the Economics and Politics of Refugee Integration

Global Migration event

Today the School of Law hosted a Global Migration Center conference entitled "Lessons Learned and Ways Forward for the Economics and Politics of Refugee Integration." The focus was on the flow of migrant refugees after the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The morning panels focused on the economics of migration. The afternoon focused on immigration law and policies, with Professors Raquel Aldana and Brian Soucek, as well as law student Kari Peterson '23 participating. I also presented a paper on the enforcement of racial borders by the nations of North America and Europe.

The Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies co-sponsored the event.
