Lecturing at CUPL, Our Partner School in China

Associate Dean for International Programs Beth Greenwood, Professor Anupam Chander, Judge Johann Mori and I are in Beijing this week visiting the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), the world's largest law school and a long-time strong partner school to the UC Davis School of Law.

Madhavi in China

Last night we had a warm and celebratory dinner with our generous host, CUPL Professor of Law Jinxi Wang, and young faculty, one of whom — Chunpeng Du — was an LLM student of ours at UC Davis. We have met many UC Davis LLM alums and visiting scholars to King Hall here — indeed, there is a large and enthusiastic King Hall fan club in Beijing. Dean Greenwood and Judge Mori are co-teaching a class, and Professor Chander and I will be lecturing this evening on intellectual property and cyberlaw to IP and commercial law students and faculty at CUPL.
