King Hall Outreach Program Kicks Off Summer Session
This past weekend, UC Davis School of Law kicked off this summer's King Hall Outreach Program (KHOP), a program designed to provide classes, information, and mentorship for students, many of them first generation college students from immigrant families, seeking to learn about the law school application process. This year's group of vibrant, impressive and enthusiastic students hailed from UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Merced, San Francisco State, Sacramento State and California State University East Bay. I had lunch with the students on the first day of the program and told them about UC Davis School of Law and my experiences as a dean and law professor. Each student told us a little about themselves and what brought them to the KHOP program.
Dircetor of Admissions and Outreach Joe Schneider organizes a top notch program. I enjoyed the lunch and look forward to seeing KHOP students at UC Davis School of Law.
