King Hall Basketball Day
UC Davis School of Law invaded the ARC Pavilion last Saturday afternoon to see the UC Davis Aggies Women's basketball team come from behind to beat UC Santa Barbara 69-63 and the men's team trounce archrival Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 80-56.

More than 150 King Hall faculty, students, staff, and alumni attended the game, and we were a rambunctious group indeed, cheering loudly and often for the home teams. Professor Irene Joe enjoyed watching courtside while Professors Jasmine Harris and Al Lin, with their families, watched from above. Professor Evelyn Lewis was there as well. Alumni board members John McKinsey ’99, John Pavotlosky ’00, and Gary Solis ’71 were in attendance and could be seen enjoying food and refreshments in the Aggie alumni area. I was pleased to see Bill Mantle '74, who traveled from the Bay Area to see the Aggies play.

I always enjoy Aggies sports, and this pair of wins, which place the teams in a good position for post-season tournaments, was great fun.

We also had the good fortune of being joined by Coach Dan Gonzalez and the Davis Senior High School Men's basketball team, which is having a great season. Thanks to Senior Associate Dean Madhavi Sunder, who is also a member of the Davis School Board, for arranging this!

All in all, two UC Davis basketball wins was a great way to end the day.
