Inspiring Careers in Public Interest: A Recap of the Immigration Law Association and HALO Event

Earlier this week, the Immigration Law Association and Humanitarian Aid Legal Organization (HALO) sponsored a public interest program of public interest attorneys.

Three alums were on the panel: Nicole Zanardi '17, a former research assistant of mine and currently a staff attorney with the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, Apurva Behal '18, a Yolo County Public Defender, and Laura Kurtz '21, an attorney at the Children's Law Center of California. They discussed their public interest careers, which made me proud of them and our school.
