Here's an email she sent to fellow faculty:

On March 10, 2010, I will be departing to Haiti with a human rights delegation consisting of lawyers as well as doctors.  Our mission is to identify 80 individuals in critical need of medical care and request that the U.S. government grant humanitarian parole into the United States for these individuals for medical treatment.

Our delegation consists of Dr. Victor Carrion and Dr. Dina Frid from Stanford University, Dr. Daryn Reicheter of Survivors International, Especianise Loresca, student at UCSF Medical School and native Haitian, Jayne Fleming, attorney and human rights advocate from Reed Smith, Moira Duvernay, a prominent international human rights lawyer, Josue Rojas and Dr. Suzan Song.   In Haiti we will be working with Mario Joseph of Bureau Avocats Internationaux, the top international human rights lawyer in Haiti.

I write to you not only to inform you of our delegation but also to see if you have any contacts in Haiti that would be resources for our trip.  Also, if there are any supplies you would like to donate, they would be warmly received.  Tents apparently are a top priority.

Thank you for your time.
