Hitting the links with students
A cheerful and enthusiastic group of 1Ls, Charles William Sloan-Hillier, Gavin Ralphs, and Roselyn May Wu joined me for a round of golf at Davis Municipal Golf course this past Sunday. In support of the King Hall Legal Foundation, they bid on a round of golf with me. The group took time off from their law studies to test out the links.
It was a cloudy and temperate day, and we played a game of scramble -- playing the best ball on each hole. Each player brought their unique skills to the game. Gavin drove for the fences; Charles had a special knack at the short game; and Roselyn carried the group on the later holes.
It was a nice change of pace for the students, who had been immersed in recent weeks in tenancies in common in Property. I was pleased to learn this group all had jobs for the summer and enjoyed their studies at King Hall!
