Graduation Season

It is graduation season at UC Davis.  A couple of weeks ago, we had the School of law Commencement, with incredible speakers such as faculty speaker Irene Joe and Chief Justice of California Patricia Guerrero. 

A week ago, I attended the School of Medicine graduation at the Mondavi Center.  The commencement speaker was Hendry Ton, a UC Davis Health psychiatrist and expert on cultural competence.

This past Friday night, I attended the School of Veterinary Medicine commencement.  In a memorable touch, a pet dog, Brew, led the students in the commencement walk.  Drs. Terrance Ferguson and Vernard Hodges of the National Geographic show Critter Fixers were the keynote speakers.

It was wonderful to participate in the celebrations!
