Discussing New Critical Guide to Civil Procedure Book

Critical Guide to Civil Procedure

This week, three editors of the 2022 book A Guide to Civil Procedure: Integrating Critical Legal Perspectives (NYU Press) spoke virtually at UC Davis School of Law. The Law School, Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies, and the UC Davis Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion co-sponsored the event.

Professors Brooke Coleman (Seattle), Suzette Malveaux (Colorado), and Portia Pedro (Boston University) discussed the book and their contributions to the critical perspectives on class actions, federal rule making, and Critical Race Theory and Civil Procedure.

I am proud that two UC Davis Law faculty members (me and Brian Soucek) contributed to this important book, which is a true contribution to civil procedure scholarship.

Our students received quite a great experience learning more about A Critical Guide to Civil Procedure
