Critical Perspective in Tort Law
At lunch today, Professor Leticia Saucedo offered a Critical Perspective in Tort Law as part of the Aoki Center on Race and Nation Studies series on the first-year curriculum. Professor Lisa Ikemoto talked on property law the day before as Professor Tom Joo will talk on contracts the day after. The purpose is to offer first-year students exposure to Critical Race Theory (CRT) in their first-year classes.
Professor Saucedo insightfully discussed how critical theory offered important insights on tort doctrine and court decisions. A full house of first-year students attended the program.
Our students learn much about CRT in the first year.
