Court of Appeal Oral Arguments, Speaker Series Events, and More
Monday was a busy day at King Hall. The Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, held oral arguments in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom. The court heard oral arguments in two cases: one related to a police search and seizure, and the other involving a tort case with a civil procedure issue being appealed. Among the justices present was Stacy Boulware Eurie '95, an accomplished and loyal alumna.

I also visited with alum Cindy Dole '09, Associate General Counsel for the Samsung Catalyst Fund, who spoke in the Center for Innovation, Law, and Society speaker series.

Several attorneys talked about career paths on the first day of the Filipino Law Students Association's Culture Week, including Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles, Michael Custodio; Prosecutor for Redondo Beach, Joy Ford; and Governmental Affairs Attorney for the Judicial Council of California, Dana Cruz '16.
