Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye ’84 speaks to Filipino Law Students Association

 As part of the Filipino Law Students Association Culture Week, the Chief Justice of California, Tani Cantil-Sakauye ’84,  spoke at UC Davis School of Law in the Moot Courtroom.  This was the second visit to King Hall by the Chief Justice in a month; she visited Judge Larry Brown’s Judicial Process class in late October.

The Chief Justice talked about the importance of lawyers returning to their communities to educate community members about the law.  She expressed the view that one of her most significant contributions as Chief Justice has been community outreach.  I personally have seen the Chief Justice at countless bar-association, judicial, law school, and other community events.

Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye talked to a full house in the Moot Courtroom.  She had the full attention of the law students,  who were proud to host her.
