A Celebratory Swearing-in Ceremony

Last Friday night was special at UC Davis School of Law. Sacramento Superior Court Judge Lawrence Brown, Class of 1989, and U.S. District Judge Ana de Alba swore in new attorneys from the Class of 2022.

This amazing class weathered the challenges of law school during a global pandemic. And, as law students, they collectively dedicated 30,000 hours to public service while in school. Our future is in good hands. 

I had the honor of welcoming the alums and their friends and families. Judge Brown administered the state oath. Judge de Alba, whose daughter Sofia attended with her, administered the federal oath. 

It was a night worthy of celebration!!
