Aoki Center Seminar Series: Anti-Trafficking Movement

On March 19, the Aoki Center on Critical Race and Nation Studies presented an expert discussion by Erika Gonzalez, who works for the Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST). She was a student of Professor and Aoki Center Co-Director Raquel Aldana, when Professor Aldana taught at McGeorge School of Law

Gonzalez offered background on human trafficking, its history, and modern incarnations. She offered a Critical Race Theory approach to human trafficking, which today affects many women of color. 

It was a fascinating presentation and our community was given a great treat.
