Aoki Center Luncheon
The Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies welcomed new and returning students at a lunch in King Hall's Wilkins Moot Courtroom. We had a full house of law students hearing from the Aoki Center co-directors, Professor Raquel Aldana and me, as we provided background on Keith Aoki and the Aoki Center, its mission and goals.
Professor Aldana graciously spoke of my deanship as it is about to end this month. She also presented me with a beautiful ceramic statue of a dog that she picked up in Mexico City. It looks just like my late dog, who spent many hours with me on walks during the pandemic.
