An Amazing Week!

As the academic year winds down, there is a flurry of energy and activity at UC Davis School of Law.
Last week alone, we had Celebrating King Hall (honoring our community, including the Distinguished Teaching Award recipient, Professor Courtney Joslin); the Bodenheimer Lecture on Family Law (also part of the Racial Justice Speaker Series) with Penn Law’s Serena Mayeri; an Immigration and Farm Labor Conference; the King Hall Legal Foundation’s charity golf tournament, the Steve Boutin Invitational; and the Latinx Law Students Association’s annual Lorenzo Patiño Banquet (with Chancellor Gary May, and his wife LeShelle, as well as Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Croughan).

I closed the week by working with a group from the Schwartz/Levi Inn of Court preparing dinner for 100 residents of Fourth and Hope, a shelter for the unhoused in Woodland.
It was an amazing week. And we still have a few weeks of the school year left. Stay tuned!
