Alumni town hall
One of UC Davis School of Law’s more enjoyable new traditions is the Zoom virtual town hall. The pandemic has made it unfeasible to have in-person events with the King Hall faithful. But the virtual town halls have been incredibly well-attended and give me a chance to fill the participants in on recent happenings at King Hall.
This week, more than 70 alums signed up to connect with their law school alma mater. Larry Wohl '72, Judge Shama Mesiwala '98, Victoria Hassid '10, Judge Elizabeth Perris '75, Robert Kidd '77 and many others were in attendance.
I filled the alums in on the plans being considered for instruction, with the hope for some live instruction when campus and public health authorities are confident it is safe to do so. I also mentioned the Class of 2020's jobs success, the record-breaking development year, the incoming class, and more.
Our alums are so supportive! Among the questions posed to me was how the alums could help our students. We are lucky to have such devoted alumni.
