Alumni Reception in Washington, D.C.
Last week, UC Davis School of Law had a wonderful alumni reception at Kelley Drye Warren LLP's offices overlooking the majestic Potomac River in Washington D.C. Paul Rosenthal `75, who has a bustling practice in the nation's capital, hosted the event for the King Hall faithful in the D.C. area. It was wonderful to see many friendly faces, including Eduardo Diaz `76, Sergio O'Cadiz '96, Gary Solis '71, Noah Cuttler '03, Conrad Huygen '97, Amara Naik `15, and Paul Ramshaw `83. We had a current student, Ben Piiru, who is externing as part of the UCDC externship program working this semester with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
I shared the happenings at UC Davis, including the wonderful incoming class, the amazing faculty, and enduring sense of community. Senior Associate Dean Afra Afshaipour and Executive Director of Development and Alumni Ralations Karen Charney also attended the reception. We all talked with a prospective law student, Jessica Valdes, about King Hall. Eduardo Diaz, who has worked with Jessica, brought her to the event.
