Alumni lunch in Los Angeles

UC Davis School of Law had a splendid alumni lunch in downtown Los Angeles. More than twenty King Hall faithful met at the elegant Engine Co. No. 28 for a scrumptious lunch and great company.

Before the lunch, I met with dedicated alum Art Chinski '70 and walked to the lunch.

It truly was great filling in the group about the outstanding entering Class of 2022, the efforts to protect immigrants by the Immigration Law Clinic, and the incredible fundraising success. As Nick Starkman ‘13 wrote me after the lunch, “It was inspiring to hear about all the great happenings at King Hall.”

We had an impressive group, including Anita Barooni '16, Laura Urias '06, Robert Brennan '87, Jennifer Novak '96, Angela Oh '86, Bill Strickland '97, Pamela Webster '82, Ed Steussy '14, Ron Maroko '86, Donald Nanney '74, and Regina Yeh '09.  I always enjoy hearing about how great King Hall alums are doing.

Lisa Carlock of our Career Services office was in attendance and could be seen working the room extolling the virtues of our students as potential lawyers. Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations Karen Charney was at the lunch, following a lunch with alums the day before in Santa Barbara.
