37th Annual Lorenzo Patiño Banquet

In one of the highlights of the law school year, La Raza Law Students Association held the 37th Annual Lorenzo Patiño Banquet in the Arc Ballroom. Students, faculty, staff, family, and friends had a wonderful evening celebrating the graduating third year students.

The Lorenzo Patiño Community Service Award winner was Jessica Martinez '19, whose family was in attendance with her. A graduate of UC Berkeley and former co-chair of La Raza Law Students Association, Jessica has accepted a position after graduation with California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation.

Miguel Martin '84 presented two awards. Marcos Breton, columnist for the Sacramento Bee was honored with the Cruz Reynoso Community Service Award. Marcos attended the dinner with his family. Jessica Martinez was honored with a Community Award Scholarship.

The School of Law had a wonderful table with Professors Irene Joe and Jasmine Harris (along with her daughter Lilyana), my student mentees Leticia Casillas Luquin '21 (who oversaw her amazing ballet folklorico group as the evening's entertainment), Raquel Campuzano-Santamaria '21 and friends.
