Professor Armstead Discusses Foreign Relations between Ukraine and Russia
Professor Emeritus J. Holmes Armstead, Jr. of the US Naval War College talked about recent developments in the foreign relations between the Ukraine and Russia during the lunch hour in the law school's trial Moot courtroom. King Hall's California International Law Center (CILC) organized the talk, which attracted a full house.
Professor Armstead provided an insightful analysis of what was going on in the Ukraine, complete with relevant historical, political, and economic background. It was a truly educational discussion.
Professor Armstead has completed two OSCE missions to Ukraine. He is a retired professor of Strategy and International Law at the US Naval War College and former UN Legal Expert responsible for drafting the Treaty Of Rome, which created the ICC.
I had the opportunity to talk with Professor Armstead before his presentation. His experience about the former Soviet republics was breathtaking.
Another enlightening lunch hour at King Hall!
