The UC Davis Law Review held its annual Hopkins Reception last week, honoring the leadership and editors of Vol. 51. It was a special night in the campus Alumni Center, with an elegant program.
A former editor-in-chief, David Richardson `07, now a partner at DLA Piper, inspired the group with a discussion of the benefits of law review, including the building of community and special friendships that will last throughout a career.

Richardson was followed by Law Review adviser Professor Brian Soucek, who offered some inspiring thoughts about the achievements of the Law Review and its importance to legal scholarship. Professor Soucek presented the Patrick J. Hopkins Memorial Writing Award to Elizabeth Chang and Joseph Little for their amazing comments.
It was a festive and enjoyable evening. The Law Review continues to be a trendsetter among the nation's law reviews, and this year hosted an outstanding immigration law symposium. Besides the Law Review editors, Professors Floyd Feeney, Rose Villazor and Bob Hillman were in attendance.
Congrats Vol. 51 on a great year. Now on to Vol. 52!
