AABA Law Student Summer Grants

Still looking for summer funding?  The Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area ("AABA") is offering one or more grants, up to $5,000, to help fund qualified summer law clerks working on legal projects that provide free legal services to the Asian American community.  Applicants must be sponsored by a non-profit legal organization that has agreed to supervise the applicant for the summer of 2017.

The deadline to submit applicants for funding is April 28, 2017.  See Symplicity ID 353479 for instructions on how to apply.

Air Force JAG Corps

The Air Force JAG Corps is currently accepting applications from 3Ls for Direct Appointments.  Application materials are due by March 10th -- please go to www.airforce.com/JAG for information on how to apply. The Air Force has confirmed there is NO hiring freeze for these positions and they are actively recruiting.  If you do apply, please let Career Services know, and we can put in you in touch with alums currently serving with the Air Force JAG Corps.

2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Public Service Award

The Public Service Graduation Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award.  This award will be presented at the Public Service Graduation on April 28, 2017. The recipient is chosen based on several criteria: embodiment of the spirit of MLK; contribution to the public interest community; and commitment to public interest work.

To nominate a fellow 2017 King Hall graduate, complete a nomination form and submit it to the Career Services Office by February 22, 2017 via email at careerservices@law.ucdavis.edu (subject: "Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Award Nomination"). Nomination forms were sent out via email to all students on February 2, 2017.
