SAVE THE DATE: Immigration Habeas Conference

Save the date for Got Habeas? New Clinics, Theories, and Developments in Immigration Detention Litigation and Teaching, a conference that will be held on October 9, 2026, from 10 to 4 p.m. Pacific, both online and in person at the UC Davis School of Law. 

Participant discussion and panels will address responses to the immigration emergency, the basics of immigration habeas practice, common pitfalls in habeas litigation, and the issues now pending in the Supreme Court and other appellate courts and possible future directions. We hope the topics will be of interest to clinicians who now work on immigration cases or who might want to, as well as law students and lawyers interested in pro bono work.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Aoki Center, UC Law SF, the UC Davis School of Law, the California Immigration Project, and the AALS Section on Clinical Legal Education.
