Class of 1969

JAY CARLISLE continues to teach full time at the Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. During the past Memorial Day May weekend fellow (1969) classmates TOM REDMON, GARY OLSEN and their families visited Jay and his wife in Hudson, New York to celebrate their second bi-annual reunion. In 2003 CARLISLE, REDMON and OLSEN met in Ojai, California. The New York reunion featured delicious meals, fine wines and a boating trip on the Hudson River. The dynamic trio will meet in Sacramento, California in 2008. TOM REDMON is already planning his menus.

MIKE KIMERER writes: "My life recently has been quite uneventful. Last year I spent almost four months in a criminal trial in Yuma, Arizona representing the CEO of a water company, who had two employees die in an underground sewage tank. I have taken a 'time out' from State Bar activities, and have been spending time with my family building a vacation home in San Carlos, Mexico. They still are playing reruns of my "sleepwalking trial" on TV, and I recently had a ruling by the Ninth Circuit on a client of mine who insisted he be allowed to waive his appeal and be put to death immediately. The federal court here asked me to represent him on the issue of his competency. A TV show is also being produced about another client of mine who is the only woman in Arizona on death row. Her family asked me to handle her appeal in federal court.

I've had two knees replaced (which are now like new) and an operation on my back (which is worse), but am otherwise alive and well. I just started receiving social security, but have no intention of retiring."

GEORGE GNOSS is still practicing law full time in San Francisco. He reports: "On January 1, 2004 my firm merged with DLA Piper, which is an international firm with over 3,000 lawyers. Our daughter Margann, who was with us at law school, has three children, and lives near Grass Valley."
