Diane Boyer-Vine ’86, the Legislative Counsel of California
Founded in 1913, the Office of Legislative Counsel is a nonpartisan public agency that drafts legislative proposals, draft bills, constitutional amendments, resolutions, and proposed amendments to those measures, renders legal opinions on issues of constitutionality, statutory interpretation, and other legal matters, and provides counsel to the members and committees of the legislature. Diane is the first woman to serve as the Legislative Counsel. |
