Last week, the King Hall Legal Foundation (KHLF) held the 11th Annual Steve Boutin Invitational Golf Tournament on a picture perfect fall day at Davis Municipal Golf Course.  Alum Steve Boutin '72, who the tournament is named after, and Professor Clay Tanaka worked with the students for months to organize the tournament.  KHLF co-chairs Lisa Nakashima and Kristi Thielen, Class of 2021, put together a wonderful event for the UC Davis School of Law community.  KHLF raises money to support fellowships for law students in public interest laws.

As returning champions, the pressure was on my team, which included a couple of college chums (Leo O'Farrell and Steve Roscow) and was led by Class of 2019 alum Ian Daugherty, a superstar golfer and undisputed MVP of our team.  Our team finished second with a sizzling 54 score on the challenging Davis Muni course.  We were edged out by one stroke to Professor Dennis ("Taxman") Ventry, a former golfer for the UCLA Bruins, and his team.

Professor Robert Miller had a hole-in-one on the fifth hole!

Fun was had by all and the UC Davis School of Law community all chipped in for a very good cause!
