Professor Pruitt Comments on Election for Portuguese Newspaper
Professor Lisa Pruitt spoke just before the Nov. 5 presidential election to reporter Catarina Maldonado Vasconcelos of the Portuguese newspaper Expresso.
The Nov. 4 article looked at the state of the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump on the final weekend before the election.
"If there are still people moving towards Trump, my strong instinct is to say that they have always leaned towards Trump and that Harris has had an uphill battle to try to garner those votes," Pruitt told Expresso. Pruitt said reasons for this included “the focus of many voters on economic problems and the fact that they have always considered Harris too liberal."
Trump won a second term as president.
