Aoki Center Hosts UC Davis Law Professor Emeritus Bill Ong Hing

This week, the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies hosted University of San Francisco Law Professor (and UC Davis Law Professor Emeritus) Bill Ong Hing, who spoke about his new book Humanizing Immigration: How to Transform Our Racist and Unjust System (2023). His book calls for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Professor Hing is the Founding Director of the Deportation Defense Clinic. 

Our students were given a treat in hearing Professor Hing's stories about representing immigrants. I was honored to be able to introduce him to our community.
