Dean Johnson weighs in on DACA for The Hill, CalMatters, Capital Public Radio

Dean Kevin R. Johnson offered his insights to leading media outlets last week as the Supreme Court considered whether the Trump administration can end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program.

Johnson wrote an op-ed piece on DACA and the 25th anniversary of California’s Proposition 187 for CalMatters. The op-ed was picked up by the Times of San Diego and Patch.com. Johnson also was quoted in The Hill and appeared on Capital Public Radio’s “Insight” program. In addition, an immigration law scholars' amicus brief that Johnson helped organize was highlighted on Medium.

Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
