Professor Shanske, UCLA professor address federal tax changes at UC Center Sacramento

UC Davis School of Law Professor Darien Shanske and UCLA School of Law Professor Kirk Stark participated in the Aug. 28 “Capitol Insights Panel” at UC Center Sacramento.

Shanske and Stark summarized some of the recent changes to federal tax law as they affect California. They then analyzed various policy responses, with a particular focus on responses to the capping the state and local tax (SALT) deduction and the significant changes to federal taxation of multinational corporations.

Darien Shanske is a professor of law at UC Davis. His academic interests include taxation, particularly state and local taxation, local government law, public finance, and political theory, particularly jurisprudence.
