On-Campus Interviewing kicks off with increased employer turnout

UC Davis School of Law’s On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) for the 2018-19 academic year began on Monday, July 30, at Hyatt Place on campus.

On that day, 2L students met with representatives from 15 employers – the maximum that could be scheduled in a single day. Career Services expects more than 70 employers to visit campus during the next several weeks. This is an increase from last year, with Career Services having expanded the number and type of employers who come to campus to recruit students.

In addition to the on-campus interviews, more than 30 employers are participating in résumé collections. And more than 50 employers are expected to visit campus later in the semester for the law school’s Small and Midsize Firm Fair and Public Interest and Government Job Fairs.

Thanks in large part to its on-campus recruiting events, UC Davis School of Law boasts impressive employment statistics for recent alumni. More than 90 percent of the class of 2017 was employed 10 months after graduation, Assistant Dean of Career Services Craig Compton reported.
