Professor Elizabeth Joh Presents Award-Winning Paper at Privacy Policy Conference

As part of a conference in Washington DC, Professor Elizabeth Joh presented her 2017 Annual Privacy Papers for Policymakers award-winning article, “The Undue Influence of Surveillance Technology Companies on Policing.”

According to the Future of Privacy Forum website, the 8th Annual Privacy Papers for Policymakers event recognizes leading scholars producing privacy research and analytical work that is relevant to policymakers in the United States Congress, at United States federal agencies, and for data protection authorities internationally.

Professor Joh received the 2017 Annual Privacy Papers for Policymakers Award that honors outstanding academic scholarship with real-world impact.

Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal procedure and policing, with a special emphasis on DNA evidence, undercover policing, and new surveillance technologies. She is the recipient of King Hall’s 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award.
