Professor Joslin Interviewed on KCBS on Military Transgender Ban
Professor Courtney Joslin was interviewed twice during the past week by San Francisco radio station KCBS regarding President Trump’s efforts to ban transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. military.
On August 28, Professor Joslin described the policy memorandum that President Trump issued a few days earlier requiring the discharge of transgender service members starting March 23, 2018. On August 30, she refuted claims that Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis “froze” that order or put it on hold.
Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
