Joaquin Recinos ’19 Awarded Peggy Browning Fellowship
UC Davis School of Law student Joaquin Recinos ’19 has been awarded a summer fellowship from the Peggy Browning Fund. Recinos was one of 80 fellows chosen from nearly 400 applicants. Fellows are chosen for academic achievement and for demonstrated commitment to workers’ rights. Recinos, who while at Georgetown University led a campaign to unionize dining hall workers, will spend the fellowship working at Bush Gottlieb in Los Angeles.
The Peggy Browning Fund is a not for-profit organization established in memory of Margaret A. Browning, a prominent union-side attorney who was a member of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from 1994 until 1997.
