Immigration Law Clinic Featured on Public Radio International
The UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic is the subject of a recent report on Public Radio International’s The World. Included in the feature are comments from Holly Cooper ’98, Co-director of the clinic, and clinic student Sara Ehsani-Nia ’18, as well as an account of the recent victory in a case involving the detention of a teenaged refugee from Honduras, and descriptions of other recent activities.
The article notes that many clinic students are motivated by their own family history. “I was born in Los Angeles, and my parents are refugees from Iran,” said Ehsani-Nia. “The foundation’s the same: You’re coming to this country with virtually nothing, and knowing virtually no one.”
