Professor Lee Presents Paper at Northwestern University School of Law

Professor Peter Lee recently presented a work-in-progress at PatCon 7 at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Professor Lee’s paper, which was selected for plenary presentation, is entitled “Innovation and the Firm: Vertical Integration in Patent-Intensive Industries.” The paper explores the curious persistence of vertical integration in patent-intensive fields such as biopharmaceuticals, agricultural biotechnology, information technology, and university-industry technology transfer.

Professor Lee's scholarly work addresses the intersection of science and society, particularly exploring the patent system's impact on scientific and technological progress.
