Daniel Watts ’11 Drafts Successful Petition for California Supreme Court Appeal

Daniel Watts ’11 drafted a successful petition for certiorari in the case of Newport Harbor Ventures v. Morris Cerullo World Evangelism, which will now be heard by the Supreme Court of California. The case concerns whether anti-SLAPP motions may strike any claim in an amended complaint or only new claims that appear for the first time in the amended complaint, as well as the standards courts should apply to inconsistent claims. Watts is an associate attorney in the litigation practice group at Galuppo & Blake in Carlsbad.
